As the T20 World Cup 2021 sets to start from 17th October 2021 at UAE, all Indian fans hail the victory to our team India as we enjoy the 15-squad team on its way to victory. Pronounced towards the victory march lies the 3 keys namely 3 bowlers who contribute towards the success glory in T20 World Cup 2021.
3 key bowlers are-
Jasprit Bumrah-
It does not surprise us that he owns one of these places in the list of top 3 bowlers. He is that irreplaceable gem from the Indian team with an overall 59 wickets, at an average of 20.25, and an economy of 6.66. Last but not the least, a bowling strike rate of 18.20 in 50 T20Is keeps him in the top of the list of fantasy cricket managers all around the globe.
Compared to him only Shardul Thakur and Deepak Chahar have a better strike rate at the World Cup level while they also have played less than half the number of matches played by Bumrah. Strikingly he is also the key player of his team “Mumbai Indians” the most dominating team in winning consecutive 5 times in IPL.
He is an all-rounder bowler; he serves the best when the team requires a wicket for a game turn or be it a Powerplay. His Yorkers are deadly enough to deceive the batsman into facing it.
Ravichandran Ashwin-
He hasn’t played much recently with records showing that he last played against West India in the T20 World Cup 2017 at Kingston. He has picked up nearly 59 wickets at a range of 46 T20 Internationals played.
Nevertheless, his surprising economic performance in the UAE leg of the IPL held in 2021 has proven how excellent he is as a bowler and that he can be that asset to the Indian team bowling line-up to be up in the T20 World Cup 2021.
In IPL 2021, Ashwin has played a total of 10 matches with an economy of 7.24 and picked up 5 wickets in total. He is among those experienced campaigners in the Indian Team who can serve as a key depending upon how he is utilized in overs of different matches.
Varun Chakravarthy-
Since his debut in IPL, season 2020, he has always been constant on the national team selectors’ radar. Initially, he had missed out on 2 series of India because of his inability to clear up the fitness test required but finally, he made his T20 debut for the first time on India’s tour to Sri Lanka in July this year.
He has this mystery in spin bowling which has been the main point of his selection. Because of his spin bowling tricks, he has made it difficult for every batsman, even the best ones in the league, to pick on him in the past consecutive IPL seasons to date he has played in.
On his spin bowling tracks in UAE, he serves there either to pick up key wickets and bring victory or to choke the batsman for runs. It all works in his favor which indeed makes matches interesting and worth a watch. His IPL performance for the 2021 season- with a pick of 15 wickets in 13 matches and an economy rate of 6.73.
He also comes among the lead spinners in the wicket takers’ list after Rashid Khan. In the previous seasons of IPL, he has picked up 17 wickets in 13 matches including a five-wicket haul.
Since Yuzevendra Chahal has been out of the team, and Rahul Chahar on the other hand not in the best form to carry out matches in T20 World Cup 2021, Varun Chakravarthy is expected to be among India’s prime spinners in the tournament hand in hand with Ravichandran Ashwin.
Though 15-man squad chosen this year to battle in ICC T20 World Cup 2021, has some major fighting spirits like Shikhar Dhawan and Yuzvendra Chahal missing out, but in the opinion of selectors and fans- every player who has been selected to battle, thus are in the squad, has the prior capability and responsibility to pull out extraordinary performance leading India towards it’s always looked forward victory.
